Your Best Friend - The Art of Being Alone

If you had the chance to choose anyone in the world to be your best friend - someone who would always stand by your side, every second of every day - who would you choose?   Would it be a family member, a close friend, a colleague? Or would you set out in search of someone who truly understands you, someone who will never leave your side?   As we grow older, we realize that not everyone we meet is meant to stay forever. Some people teach us how to love, some show us kindness and compassion, some inspire us to follow our dreams, and some remind us to stay true to ourselves. Others, however, challenge us in ways that make us realize who we do not want to be around. Through all these experiences, we learn what to embrace in life and what to let go of. With time, we seek out people who understand us, who treat us with the respect and love we deserve. But in a world where loyalty can be rare, we sometimes find ourselves exhausted, discouraged, or even alone.   B...

New Year, New You?

Every year, we make a list of resolutions with the hope of becoming a better version of ourselves. But the real question is: do we actually stick to them? Honestly, I don’t!   As a kid, I used to come up with so many resolutions on New Year’s Day, feeling excited and determined. But, without fail, I’d forget most of them by the very next day. Sound familiar? It’s something many of us can relate to because creating resolutions is easy, but following through is a whole other challenge.   The truth is, we can’t change everything all at once. Trying to do so often leads to feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, and, eventually, giving up. The good news is, change doesn’t have to happen overnight—it’s okay to take it slow and tackle one resolution at a time.   Let’s say your goals for the year include waking up early, going for a daily morning run, and joining an art class.
